CFC Letter from FSD John J Daly

 September 21, 2011

Dear Team Orlando:

I am extremely excited about the 2011 Central Florida Combined Federal Campaign. As a past chairman, I can tell you I have personally seen how important your support is to the many worthwhile charities in the CFC booklet. You can learn more about the CFC at http://www.CF-CFC.org or talk to a TSA Team Orlando Key Worker or Loaned Executive-the list is enclosed with this letter.

Year after year, Federal employees demonstrate their compassion and support through their generous donations to the CFC. Last year for instance, The TSA Team Orlando raised over $53,200 up from $36,000 in the 2009 Campaign! Our participation rate continues to improve as well from 11% in 2009 to 23% in 2010. In 2007 our participation rate was 2.7%, so we’ve come a long way in a short period of time!

Thankfully, we are all blessed to be part of a relatively stable Federal workforce in Central Florida. However, the global economic downturn has clearly impacted all of us individually, and many of our family members, friends and neighbors. With the current economic conditions, your generous help is needed more than ever. Many local, regional, national and international charities and service organizations are suffering from a significant decrease in donations, which directly impacts the services they can provide in support of charitable causes.

As a federal employee you can show you care almost painlessly through payroll deduction. For example, if each employee decided to donate just $2 per week (that’s less than a cup of coffee!) to CFC through payroll deduction, over $100,000 would be raised by TSA for these community organizations. This is the 50th Anniversary of CFC…what a great time for us to reach the a new contribution plateau. With your help, we can make it happen!

Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your kind generosity and support of the 2011 CFC Campaign, and thank you for your continue dedication as a public servant.
